Have you talked with any people actually in the career fields that you'd like to explore? Here are some things to consider:
How stable is the industry?
How much money do you need (notice, not want) to make and how easy will it be to do that in your potential field?
Are you looking to work for yourself or someone else?
What are the bad things that are part of that career that you may not have considered? (When I worked in restaurants, I used to have to clean 100 chicken breasts, almost daily. That was more grunt work than fun, creative culinary work... and there was a lot more mundane items than that. Did I mention I had to clean toilets used by the general public?). Nearly every profession has some aspect of the position that is not so much fun that you don't want to know about before you take the job, because it would scare you.
Is there something that you could do to combine these talents into a service that people will pay for (I don't care if it hasn't been done before, could it be done?)
If you have more questions, you can email me directly.

The best and only thing you can do for you and your life is stop and think: What do I love to do in my free time? Your favorite things ever??? Then u find a job working with the things u love to do in life. WHY work somewhere u truly hate and cant stand going to everyday? If u like anuimals- get a job at a vets office and go to school to be a vet or technician. If you love music- go into anything from a record store to disc jockey- anything to do with music. Turn the things u love to do into a job and it will always make you happy in the long run! Good luck! Noone says u have to decide all at once either! Try on a few different ideas and try a few different jobs! Then u will know whatas truly right for you! I once worked a job where I got paid $37 an hour! GREAT pay checks but damn if I didnt miss soooo much work! And I was miserable ALL the time. Im much happier doing what makes me happy now even if Iam making a little less!!!!!

Think about the things you currently enjoy. Think about what a career in each thing would be like, list the pros & cons of each career (wages, availability, benefits etc).
I know I went through a similar battle when I was fresh out of high school. I worked in a photofinishing lab and thoroughly enjoyed photography and everything involved with it. I was encouraged to open a portrait studio because I was good at portraits, so I opened the studio. A year later, the studio was closed (primarily due to a divorce) and my love of photography dwindled. I no longer enjoyed taking portraits because my hobby became 'work'.
Today, many years later, I still enjoy photography, but I focus more on nature than people. Plants can't talk back or get rude with you!
Good luck in your ventures. Someone else suggested taking a career test.....i think thats a great idea! Pray about it earnestly and God will lead you where He wants you to go!

The fact that you're undecided about what you want to do, even after considering three different majors in school/college, that and careers, is quite normal. I've probably changed my mind about what I want to do at least eight times within the last 10 years, or thereabouts. I'm 25 by the way, so I can understand what you're going through. I can't say the following will help you, but it's an idea to ponder. Where I am right now, it's not my dream job, which would be working with cars. The job I'm at right now has allowed me to do things I never thought I'd be capable of. My life is far from perfect, but the job makes me feel very confident about myself. Whether you find that job, or it finds you, I hope that it makes you feel confident about yourself, and not just in what you're doing for the job. It's about you and what you want from yourself, to learn what you're capable of, and making the most of it every day, both in and outside of work.

It's time to get real! Not to decide it to decide. You may just love being the perennial student.
Put on your favorite relaxing music and begin to write. Write for 5 minutes straight - without stopping. Write what you absolutely love to do most. Let it flow without stopping and without thinking about it - don't make any judgment calls - just write and write and write. At the end of the 5 minutes, look at your paper. You will have your answer.
Good luck!

yeah, live life in the real world for a couple years. Out of school, where you fend completely for yourself.
you'll find something you want to do with your life. If not, you can always go to school when youre older. Youre never too old for college.

I suggest you get out into the workforce. Something not too comfortable.
Nothing spurs the need for real action like an uncomfortable job.

Make a list with each choice that you like........
Write the pros & cons
Pray gently
Let it go for a few days: don't think about it.
Let things be
Whatever you choose, you will be fine!
Be at peace! :)

make a list of what you need --as far as how much money you need to make and whatnot. Then make a list of what you need in a job. Then make a list of what you'd like in a job.
Then see what makes your heart smile most of the choices you have.
best of luck
