Will the big networks air any of the last three formula 1 races this year? It has been heating up and I would like to see at least one race.

If you think TV stations are there to please the viewers, you're wrong! They are there to make money. And F1 does not make money for TV in the USA, so the main networks do not carry the races. Speed Cahnnel has contracts with F1 and they broadcast almost all the races of the season. I say "almost" and I am disappointed about it as this year I was forced to miss a few races because nobody, not even Speed Channel had them on, nor live nor taped. The next 3 races have been confirmed to be broadcast by Speed live, and also rebroadcast taped a few hours later. Check the Speed Channel program guide for exact dates and times, even online. However, I found an alternative to TV when there is no visual option at all: The computer! Yes, if you go on www.formula1.com and you register, you can check the F1 races live through their Live Timing which is pretty cool with real time updates of the race. It's a shame you cannot see what goes on with images of the screaming cars, but it's not bad as an alternative!

Aloha From Down Unda!

I'm not sure about the answer to your question but I do know you can catch the live timing at the following Official Formula One site! The commentary, lap charts & live timing are the next best thing. With the pictures from the weekend galleries & my F1 Theme & Sounds on the computer, it's as good as roastin in the trackside heat!

The three final races of the season (China, Japan and Brazil) will only be shown (live) on the SPEED channel. Also, the second Friday practice session and the Saturday qualifying session for each race is also shown live.
