how much would it cost for a problem like that?

what can be the problem with my 1995 cavalier?
it has a brand new starter the engine works perfactly also when i put the key in the ignition every thing comes on but it wont even attempt to crank i think its an elecrical problem but i dont know where to begin to look

its started of for me last night with now problem then all of a sudden it would not crank up any more all the light come on it just wont make a sound

mabe you need a tech to ck the neutral saftey sw .it can cause a no crank condition like you described.

try taking the Handel of a hammer and taping on the solenoid on top of the starter then try to start it if this work you are going to need a new starter or solenoid the do not make it nice to get to but if you can hit it give it some good taps. and look at the battery connection wear it hokes to the solenoid and make shear it is clean

i own a repair shop,,and the only one i really know of is the cooling fan relay gives some trouble some times on them,,they have a fuse able link that burns in to on the from the starter,and it causes it to loose power,,other than that there OK cars good luck i hope this help,s.
