There are many costumes that are very easy to put together. Wanna be a dead person? Get really light make-up powder, lighter than your skin tone, and get it all over your face till it's changed color. Then take some dark eyeshadow (brown works well) and apply it to your eyelids as well as under them. Also get dark lipstick and put it on (no blotting) then put on an outfit and decide who exactly you want to be.
Wanna be a ventriloquist doll?
Dress up like a little kid, first of all. Then draw two vertical lines, one on each side of your mouth. Then apply really red blush to your cheeks. The hardest part? Smile all night!

it all depends on *who* you want to be...do u want to be scary? cute ? funny? sexy?
if you want to be scay: you could think about fallen angels, gothic princess, the list goes on. i personally like fallen angels--the costume is pretty cool too, if u like 'scary' stuff. also, the traditional Witch is always a classic, there's many things to do with that costume.
if u want to be cute: fairies are popular--some fairy costumes can be REALLY pretty---that's what i'm considering this year! you can dress it up with pixie dust, u can wear flowers around your hair, and u can even get those pointy ear tips, to make you look more like a real fairy. also, the wings are really pretty too.
Sexy: the devils bride. Oh, and there's one sexy costume in particular that i like : the Sailorette ! it's a sailor suit with a twist..

I think it really depends on what do you want to be(scary funny cute sexy original)personally I like homemade costumed the best,and it seems everyone else does too.you make it yourself and it is cheap and since you made it yourself it feels good to wear it on halloween because it feels special because you worked so hard on making it yourself.heres a great link for komemade costumes of you are interested

I think you should be a lady dracula and your make up should be horrible you should black shadow on your eyes. Lady dracula would really be frightening on halloween.
