I was cleaning up wood around the yard on one of my property's and I stepped on a board and the nail went right through my tennis shoe and come out on top,naturally I pulled my shoe off, but yikes..the pain right now is awesome and a swelled up foot. Word of the wise...watch where you step.

I did it a few months back.. only I am not sure what is was since i stepped off of it and wasn't even aware I had done it till I was told I had blood on my shoe.. but you should get a tetanus shot....and try icing it for the swelling..

Definitely get a tetanus shot. Watch out for infections. You really should go to a doctor.
Man, that hurts just thinking about it.

Have you had a tetnus shot? if it's been more than 5 years you may need another one. Meanwhile you need to clean it up real good, it may have left some germs so you may need antibiotics. You better go to an urgent care center and get checked out. Otherwise you could get a nasty infection.

when I was younger my brother was chasing me around our newly built house and and tripped on a board with a nail sticking up and I fell into it (had shorts on), good thing it as only on my calf. But it was gushing blood and my brother look like he was going to faint, but I couldnt feel a thing. I had to go have it stitched up. but that is nothing compared to the scar I have on my head.
