need info on how to down load music to my playstation portable?

i hooked up my psp to my laptop ,and got it on usb mode . then i put a cd in the hard drive but can't down load it to my psp.

You have to rip the music from the CD first. That way you can save them in MP3 format. You can try using the Window Media Player or maybe Winamp.
