When I try to play oblivion I get a error.?

It installs fine but then when I click on play i get a error. Oblivion has encountered a problem and has to close. Can someone please help me it is really starting to piss me off. thanks

update your directx and check the game minimum system requirments or update ur video or agp card drivers.

Uninstall it, make sure you are running the latest version of the driver for your video card & DirectX (9.0c I believe). Cut your anti-virus program off, then install Oblivion & try again. You need to make sure your pc meets or exceeds the minimum specs.
