they have just fallen apart lately (typical Reds) . . . but is it mathmatically possible?

they are not offically eliminated, but they have a long shot in making the playoffs. they also have to beat out several teams in front of them making the task even more difficult. With the friendly homer ball park they play in, they need more pitching from starters and the bullpen.

They are 5 back in the wild card, so that is a longshot. However, they are only 2 1/2 back of the Cardinals, so that is a more realistic possibility.

Yes it is Mathematiccally possible but it will be hard because they are 3.5 games behind the idol Cardinals. P.S. There are only 6 games left in the season for the Reds.

I looked at the WL stats today and it looks like it will take a 5 game swing to make the wildcard. Not likely the way they've been playing.
