Typical Irish girl?

Ive been told that i look very irish ( and i am irish so thats fine) ... ut what does it mean to look very irish ? is it a good or bad thing? compliment or not??

iv got dark brown hair.. pale skin.. and brown eyes. But is it a commpliment because it was a table of guys saying it??

It means you have the colouring of an Irish person.

The "Spanish Irish" as they were called are the darker skinned Irish.

I am Welsh and Scottish but both my parents families are originally Irish.

I grew up with almost jet black hair and pale, pale, pale (yep almost transluscent) skin with a smattering of freckles.

Now, I have hardly noticeable freckles....but anyone from the British Isles would make mention of my skin and hair colour - one man I worked with years ago said I looked like I just got off the boat [from the U.K.].
