By selling advertising to candidates, running op-ed pieces, endorsing certain candidates. Until there is a limit on what can be spent on a campaign, and the books checked, we will always have these inequities.

The media does not contribute to presidential elections. Don't even bother voting. Bush and other presidents get elected ONLY by THIS secret and evil group!...

Oh Gosh... innumerable ways to mention
However.. the average viewer should watch the last season of "The West Wing"... even though it has a Dem-Party slant... impressive to see the fact that the actual candidates are very out of the loop... and the campaign is run by "professionals".
