Try eating healthy food only that will definitly help and before i swim i eat a power bar...also i suggest checking your stroke if your doing it wrong i could make you more tired then if you were doing it the correct way. make sure your rotatiing your body, only breath every three strokes, and make sure you are kicking. you shold not be self consious about it maybe i would suggest going to the good swimmers getting your strength up and then moving up once you have the confidence.
good luck and swim hard!

Swimming is an astonishing thank you to drop some weight and boost your usual wellbeing point. Freestyle works maximum suitable for many because it somewhat is the main suitable skill of propelling your self in the path of the water. As a triathlete, I noticeably plenty swim freestyle solely yet for wellbeing swimmers, there's a sparkling earnings for utilising all 4 strokes (FS, Backstroke, butterfly and breaststroke). Kicking drills, without or with a kickboard are great for purchasing that heartrate up and boost kicking stregnth and style. flow so an prolonged way as you are able to flow, take a relax the flow back. Thirty minutes in the pool is a sturdy workout consultation. when I first all started wellbeing swimming I had to take a seat down back after 100m. Now I do routines of non-stop freestyle for 2 miles. As a newbie you will want to spend time on drills that ingrain ideal style. study ideal style! whether it skill taking a lesson. I see such lots of wellbeing swimmers flailing around in the pool. My style isn't appropriate, besides the undeniable fact that it have been given a good deal extra appropriate when I have been given some stroke practise. sturdy success. i'm going to in some months you will ought to flow out and purchase some 'skinny outfits.' I did. JJJ

Don't go all out on your first lap. Your HS probably has a 25 yard pool, and someone who doesn't swim competitively may be comfortable in the water, but probably can't sprint much more then 25 or 50 yards. Just relax and swim easy. Eventually you'll get your endurance up.

It sounds like you don't have a lot of endurance. The only way to get that is to keep training. You may want to start in the beginning group and work your way up. Make sure your form is good too, ask your teacher to watch you and give you tips. You can save a lot of energy with good form.

As a beginner --

1) Keep practicing - think about finishing, not speed
2) Eat carbohydrates before you swim (baked potato, pasta etc)
3) Get good rest/sleep at night

The more you swim, the easier it gets. Good luck!

Practice Practice Practice. get enough sleep. eat pasta the night before, and don't eat a whole lot right before you swim.

also pace yourself!

Also, that little pool isn't going to be much good for distance and endurance practice.
