Oh please please please help!! I'm sick all day long, every day. I had some with my other 2 girls but I don't remember it being this bad. I'm sick all day, everyday. I CAN'T TAKE IT!!! I know that it's a good sign (per my dr) but it's making me crazy. Unless I'm eating or sleeping I feel sick. And I can't exactly do both of those all day. I can't do the saltines. I have yet to actually throw up, but sometimes just wish I would. I go to the dr on friday for an u/s and I'm going to mention it, praying he'll give me something but not counting on it. Could it be because I'm older? I'm turning 33 on Friday and my girls are 8 and 4, so it's been a while since I was pg last. Any good suggestions? HELP ME PLEASE!!!

By the way...I don't think 33 is too old to have baby, I just think since I'm older than the last time I was pg...does that make sense?

Oh my God!!! I know how you feel... I am now 31 weeks but at the beginning I was so sick, I was so tempted to have an abortion because I could not eat, do anything.. It does mean that your baby is healthy if you are getting sick and age do not have anything to do with it. I am 36 yrs old and I was thinking the same thing.
I was told that women older then me do not get as sick when they are pregnant. That's a bad sign....
What you have to do is try to hang in there because your body is going through a process and there is nothing that you can do about it unless you terminate the pregnancy. Being pregnant is so hard at the beginning but believe me it will get better. I feel 1000% better compared to the way I was. You will get better, please be patient... (Good Luck)!!!! Congratulations by the way!!!!!

I'm pregnant with my first child and I also had morning sickness morning, noon and night. I had to call in sick a couple of times because I felt like it was so unbearable. Unlike you, I was throwing up all day. I was only able to eat 1 meal a day (if that). One day, I had to ration a can of soup for the whole day and that was it. Thank goodness it eventually went away 2 weeks ago (I'm 21 weeks tomorrow). When I told my doctor, she said that as long as I was giving my baby some kind of nourishment, I should be fine. As of 3 weeks ago, I've only gained 1 pound.
I was also told that if I was throwing up to the point where I didn't have ANY food in me, I'd have to be admitted into the hospital and be fed via IV. Thank goodness it didn't get that far!!!
All I could suggest is to drink some ginger or peppermint tea to ease your belly. I would recommend ginger ale, but most ginger ales don't have ginger in them. White foods such as bread, pasta, bananas, etc are also good for an upset stomach.
Good luck and I hope it goes away soon!!!

Same thing happened to me through the first 10 or so weeks. I don't think it's because you're older, I've never heard of that before. The only thing I could keep down and feel a little better eating was salting crackers and a Sprite. Even water made me sick. After a while I started eating anything bready and it helped too like cheeze-its or gardedos. Hope you feel better soon!!

i feel for ya!! with my first & only child, i was sick from 5 weeks on & had troubles with nausea even after he was born!! there was a time when my mom even have to come to my house to help me take a bath cause i was in such tough shape!! i would throw up to the extent to where every 1 to 1 1/2 weeks i would have to go in for 1 to 2 bags of iv solution. they would then give me a phenergan shot to make me feel better also. knowing i would feel better for a few hours, i would eat as much as i could cause i knew it wouldn't bother me..... until the shot wore off & then i couldn't eat again & would start getting sick & weak. normally, i would have to take a bag with me EVERYWHERE i went cause i would throw up with the littlest smell, thought or just because i felt so awful. my dr was over an hour away, so my mom got tired of that drive all the time & the smell of me throwing up. only a mom can go thru that for their child!! they tried me on a pill that was supposed to help with the nausea.... it was REALLY expensive even after insurance... that didn't help me either. sometimes NOTHING can help. i know. talk to your dr though about it. no matter what though, keep drinking your water to keep hydrated, otherwise later on you'll start having "dehydration" contractions. he is my pride & joy now & i would go thru it all in a heart beat to have another!!

Im 26 weeks pregnant and I too had that problem. i hated it also. but them someone told me that if i ate something dry in the morning before getting out of bed that it would help. and before i got out of bed i use to eat just regular crackers and it helped me a lot. but dont jump up right after u eat. sit up for a while dont lie back down. they say it also works in fruit. but id say keep a snack in easy reach that wont be bad when you wake in the morning.
Oh and they do have a medicine that can help with the sickness. i have it and it works fine. dont worry its not big like those prenatle vitamins. their small white pills.

I don't think age has anything to do with it,
my friend was sick like you for the first 6 months of pregnancy. My sister in law threw up from the slightest smells until I think around the same time. Hang in there.....

I would suggest eating some protien before you go to bed and before you get out of bed. I kept peanut butter crackers on my nightstand. I sipped ice water none stop, it kept me cooler which helped... If it doesn't get better there are meds they can give you, so let your doctor tell you otherwise. My girlfriend took a pill that was $50 a pill, but it worked!

Best is cold. Eat or sip cold. Ice water. Icees. Popcycles. Orange Sherbert was my dream. :)
And doc could give a pill if you NEED it but...depends on the doc! Good luck!

I don't think that it has anything to do with your age.
Try eating ginger- fresh or in biscuits, in any form. I had horrible nausea during my pregnancy with no actual vomiting...which is good since I'm terrified of vomiting.
