I think they're interesting because they have one of the oldest cultures in the world. They prize education and tradition above all.

I feel sorry for them too, because they have a communist government that has a terrible record when it comes to human rights. Some of their government policies are very draconian and brutal. Individualism is not encouraged in modern China.

Also, the communist government of China has enacted policies that have resulted in dire consequences for the people of China. The country is overpopulated and constantly threatens Taiwan.

They've made advances in the last several years, but the Chinese have ambitions beyond their borders, and I fear for world peace.

what do we think about them in what respects?
what are you actually asking? i am not chinese, but
i have spent the last 3 years living in china in a region
where people are chinese citizens but do not consider themselves to be ethnically or culturally chinese.
what do you think about that?

Being married to an american of chinese descent, it has been my experience that they are generally very friendly, intelligent, and hard working.
