Have her read How to Prevent and Treat Cancer with Natural Medicine by Mike Murray. It should answer all her questions and give her a truck load of good advice.

It's not a contagious disease, but there are a number of factors that have been found to contribute to it...family history of breast cancer is one of them.
Tell her to look up breast cancer causes online and she'll find plenty of information on what can contribute to it, and what kinds of things can be done to reduce one's risk.
