It can but put it in an actual hutch. Guinea pigs are smart. BUT if it gets too hot or too cold they are quick to overheat

I own rodents. I keep them in a cage where theyre kept safe from harm. They do roam around but under close supervision

Yes, however there is a lot involved with this and inside is much, much easier.

If kept outside, they must have protection from predators or they will be eaten. Shelter from the rain. Also it must be a temperature of between 60 and 85 degrees at all times. Can you maintain that temperature? They must not be forgotten and will need fresh food and water every day!

Can you provide all of this 100%? If not, don't keep a guinea pig outdoors.

If you can't keep it you may want to consider taking it to a guinea pig rescue of some sort and giving it away to someone who can care for it.

The best place for info on the web (that I've found so far) about guinea pigs is http://guineapigcages.com

That dog's house has to be elevated- to keep bugs away from the guinea pig food....and make sure the sun never directly shines on that housing that you want to provide for them. ..and yes...they should never be too cold either. They hate the rain also......so not too hot, not too cold....never wet. I live in Hawaii...and my Angel and Baby are both outside in a cabinet that I turned into a giant housing with separation- (both boys)....I turned the cabinet horizontally and made a cover with grate as cover for the top. It's about two yards wide and 8 inches high+ grate all around. I placed this under a permanent tarp which is attached to the house. It still gets pretty hot under it... but so far they are alive and kicking...very healthy and happy indeed. They both have a stone that are big enough for them to lie down on it with their belly when the temperatures are high- this stone turns cold when it's hot all around. Take good care of your cavies...they are such adorable creatures. Feed them well and clean their housing as often as possible- depending on what you are using as bedding. For your dog house...maybe felt is best- since a dog can't hold Aspen bedding or the likes. Get two the size of the bottom of the dog house and then wash one while you use the other. Have fun!!!

i have two guinea pigs of my own. depending on where you live, you might be able to have them live outside. they have to be in the climate of 65-71 degrees F. if you live somewhere hotter or colder than that, no good. they can die if they are too hot or cold. the person i got one of my guinea pigs from, her friend left her guinea pigs in the sun for too long and they died. so be carefull where you put them. if the climate is not right for them outside, get a friend to take care of them so you could still see them often.

Generally, the guinea pig should be living in the house. They are very sensitive to temperature changes. They are particularly sensitive to heat. Putting your piggy outside isn't worth it.
