I think that the sports section is useful for keeping updated, just as the paper is supposed to do. What I think is that newspapers should be custom chosen which sections you do and do not recieve.

of course not we sports maniac will buy the whole paper. read the sports section and throw the rest away now if they take the sports section out, newpapers will lose a lot of readers....and money of course and trust me they dint want to lose money...

Actually no. I find it to be the best part. The news section of our paper (The London Free Press)...now that's a waste of paper!!

It is wasted on me, yes, but others enjoy it, so I don't complain.
I do wish local papers would devote as much space to arts, museums, theater, literature etc as they do to sports.

Not really, though I do skip over it, but it's useless until someone you know's in that section. Then you're racing to get the paper and sticking it in your scrapbook!!!
