Does anybody know anything about buying a pig in California. My neighbor who use to have one really wants one again and I want to make his dream come true. I need all the help I can get.

Check your local phone book for "livestock auctions". You may be able to pick one up there and have some control over the price, as you will be competatively bidding on the animal(s). If that does not work, newspaper want-ads, or call your local County Extension Office. They may have names and numbers of people with pigs (probably through the 4-H program) that can help you out.

Check in the local newspapers classified section (may be available online as well). You'll be looking for the Livestock section.
