ok dude--significant undertaking to remember. Rule selection one so a strategies as pre-race exercises bypass: do not consume something diverse that what you have executed interior the previous bfore working 5K or an identical distance, even once you have been training. persist with what has labored interior the previous; do not bypass messin' with carbo loading if it hasn't served you nicely earlier. And a great mistake lots of persons make related to carb loading: they consume it too quickly earlier the race. in case you are trying this it's going to easily take a seat on your abdomen and weigh you down. Carbos prefer a minimum of 24 hours to tutor into glycogen (muscle gas.) you extremely dont even prefer carbo loading to run 3 miles besides. Carbo loading is greater for distance working: 10K and better. At basically 22 minutes or so of working the carbos will slightly have a great gamble to kick in. So only consume familiar. I propose a easy breakfast--greater like a snack approximately 2 hours earlier the race: according to probability some fruit or yogurt or a pair granola bars. according to probability some juice and a pair complicated-boiled eggs. Or my popular: Eggo nutri-grain waffle with honey on it rather of syrup and a protein smoothie. stable luck, shop on truckin and artwork as much as a 10 ok.

ah, well i have to run 5k for my cross country tourneys, can't wait for 7k when i'm in grade 12, hahaha, i just eat a breakfast of a bagel w/ nutella, some water, and apple, i suggest that you drink propel water and something small an hour or an hour and half before competing, but if you get cramps don't, but just drink the water. I did 59th out of 172 last race, damn, lol i got a cramp, but yeah, as you can see, eating a good stable breakfast is important.

5K runs are pretty short and usually ends pretty quick, just eat normal and do not try new types of food as it might make you feel uneasy.

just consume about 60% carbs 25% protien 15% fats for your meal before the race. the carbs will act as a fuel for your run the next morning.

For a 5k marathon, i would eat lightly & healthy. Not turning anerixic, but an amount of food that is healthy, and will make you feel full. Try a fruit salad, or eat alot of fruit. (carrots, apples, etc. are good.) Drink lots of water it will reduce side stitches (side pains). The day of it: eat healthy and eat enough to feel full. :D I hope you win in the 5k marathon, if it's you who is trying! Oh, and drink Gatorade! Or a energy drink, it pumps sugar in your blood and makes your run faster!-Kay
