The best indication of a mind would have to fall back on reactions, instincts. We can process information and most of the time give a suitible answer. We can focus on things that someone with a lower concentration level can not. We dream, that's the very biggest. We have a concious mind and a sub-concious mind. This is a big topic here. The concious mind takes control when we need to use it. Walk, run, solve a math problem. An example, what's 30 x 10? You had to think about that. It may not have seemed to you that you were thinking about that, but you were. You can indicate that you were thinking about it because first of all, you were reading my question. The answer is obvious, it's the fact that you read what I asked and tried to give an answer. That's an example of the concious mind. An example of the sub-concious mind. You breathe in Oxygen, but you never give it any thought, you just do it. You don't tell yourself that you need to blink your eyes, you just do it. You don't tell yourself that you need to react suddenly to danger, you just do it. You either fight or flee in the presence of danger. You don't think about what to do, you just do it. Think about this. Imagine yourself driving down the highway at 55 MPH and all the sudden, someone swerves into your lane. Your first reaction would be to move as fast as possible. You don't think about it, you just do it. If you thought about how to do it and where to go, you would be dead before you finish your thought. Your first reaction would be to get out of the way, but in a safer area than what you were in. You may still get hurt, maybe more than you think. But, that's an example of the sub-concious mind.

I would say the fact that you can dream. It proves there is a subconscious. But I guess I am arguing the existence of the brain not the mind. A distinction has to be made.

in my opinion the strongest indication of the existence of mind is found in zen meditation. the "monkey mind" then invades the meditation and must be "hooked" and then "released" so the mind can again focus on the breathing of the body. We then quiet the mind and focus our attention on just " being"

The commonness of stupidity demonstrates with certainty the existence of the mind, whose nature is inherently flawed.
