I want to apply to the Meadows School in Las Vegas. Could you PLEASE review my stats and see if they look good enough to get into this challenging school?
- 3.974 GPA (weighted: 4.4)
- Ranked 1st out of about 500
- 5 AP courses this year (one of them online); 1 last year (I got a 4 on the exam)
-Key Club officer (for two years)
-NHS member
-Newspaper staff columnist
-Member of the Science Bowl team
-Received an Academic Letter last year
- Speak 2 languages fluently; working on Spanish as my third (I'm in Spanish Language AP)
-took the proficiencies when I lived in Las Vegas before, and I received scores that were way above average on them all
-1800 practice PSAT (I plan on raising it a lot)

Umm...like Newsblews said, it is not a college, so I really can't try community college. I'm actually a junior in high school right now, and I would like to attend the school for my senior year.

Wow, you are really a great candidate for the Meadows. I actually had a friend who went there, and I used to live a few miles away. The school places a lot of emphasis on great extracurriculars, and the fact that you are doing community service is great (they require a certain number of hours). You might want to pick up a few lessons on a sport because they show great interest in athletic candidates. Your rankings are incredible, and taking a class online shows your independent and hard-working spirit. The school is extremely strict (always keep eye contact and greet teachers formally), but it is one of the finest schools (if not the finest) in Nevada.
By the way people, it is a K-12 school. It is not a college.

work on getting your SAT score a little higher and i think you have a really good chance of getting into that school. It seems as though you are a very dedicated person who will do well. Good Luck to you!
