I'm studying for a test and on this online assessment there were the following questions that I could not answer...does anyone know the answer to these?

Is the following a Chemical or Physical Property and why?

- Melting of ice
- Evaporating of water
- Mixing of sand and water
- Freezing of water

Does anyone knowww?! Please help mee!

They are all physical. Nothing is changing it's chemical form. Ice melts into water, but it is still H2O. Ditto with evaporating and freezing. Sand does not dissolve, it is just held up mechanically in the water and will settle out, but it is still just sand and water.

they are all physical since there is no chemical change to them. the water remains water no matter what state it is in and the mixture isn't really a combination of things that results in a reaction so it is also physical

all physical changing of state and mixing (not reacting) are physical properties
