That is what you might say to a person who thinks that they are better than everyone else or arrogant. Or to a selfish person who thinks that they should get everything and whenever they want it. Something on those lines at least.

My mom use to say that to me all the tiem. I think it means that just because your not happy does not mean that other people can't be . your not the only person int he world

the world revolves around everyone not just one sole person.
if someone is like "me me me, oh my life is terrible. blah blah blah"
