Well, McNabb was bit by the injury bug last year and Alexander this year. It does seem eerly coincidental that almost every player to grace the cover of Madden gets injured the same year. Look at this Wikipedia article and see how many "coincidences" have ocurred so far. And most of these players don't suck, that's why they got into the cover of Madden in the first place.

But, to the questions, I think its just that Madden is behind the curve. They put starts from last season on the cover and sometimes players already have already peaked. And teams also have a tendency to collapse if they've lost the Superbowl the year before. And the last several years the players on the losing Superbowl team have appeared on the cover.

some people just like to hear the sound of their own voice or see their Q and As on the internet, thats all this madden curse thing is. shawn alex's injury isnt even that bad. so everybody shut up about the MADDEN CURSE!!!!

Every one of those guys who was on the Cover has been a Gamer every year except when they are on the Madden Cover. I am sorry seeing it now I believe its a curse. (why do you think Bret Farve Turned down a cover shot a couple of times)
