2(x-3)+14=3(x-4)+11
2x-6+14=3x-12+11
2x-8=3x-(-1)
2x-8+8=3x+1-8 (Distributive Property)
2x=3x+(-7)
2x=3x-7
2x/2=(3x-7)/2

I think it either does not have a solution or it is an identity.

Simplify first: 2x - 6 + 14 = 3x - 12 + 11
2x + 8 = 3x - 1
x = 9

To diagram, draw a number line and put a heavy 'dot' on the nine.

2x - 6 = 3x - 12 +11
2x - 6 = 3x - 1
-6 = x - 1
-5 = x

k idk but i think u need to distribute both sides of the equation and that will b...2x-6+14=3x-12+11 k oh yeah i think i know how to do it....!!!! k do that but find the values of x on both sides...
2x-6+14=3x-12+11
-2x -2x
-6+14=x-12+11
8=x-1
/-1 /-1
-8=x

You have to distribute.

2x-6+14=3x-12+11
2x+8=3x-1
-1x=-9
x=9

I think this is right....
