Sperm require dynein for their flagella (tails) so that they can swim. Without it, they can't make it to the egg.

In the lung, the cilia clear bacteria and keep the respiratory tract clean.

Another disorder, cystic fibrosis, causes respiratory disease and infertility, too. In this case, the body doesn't process salt correctly. The lung mucus becomes too thick and doesn't clear easily and thus traps bacteria. The high salt content also causes the vas deferens (tube leading from the testicle) to close off.
