It can be kind of pricely, but it really depends on what you want to do. For instance my husband and I wanted to ride on the wave runners at the resort. It was $45 per person for 30 mins of riding or there was a package were we could do the wave runners, go parasailling and do the submarine tour for $105 per person. I think swimming with the dolphins was $100 per person. Those are just a few examples. As far as going to the clubs, there are entrance fees at all of the clubs, or at least the ones we attended. Coco Bongo was $40 for men and $25 for women, but that covered your entrance fee plus open bar. We went to about 4-5 different clubs while were there and the fees ranged from $20-50 per person for each club,,,but they all included open bar for the night. Hope that helps you out.

Not bad if you stay at an all-inclusive. Then they have personel to help you with trips, clubs, etc. But be careful there too. Sometimes it's cheaper to book your excursion with your travel agent, or wherever you book through BEFORE you go. As far as I know, when we went in 2005 there was a club hop excursion where we paid 60 or 80 bucks and hopped like 4 or 6 bars/clubs and the covers were taken care of. Good thinking going in Nov. after hurricane season. We went in July and got evacuated becuase of Hurricane Emily ( a somewhat nearmiss.) Later that summer Cancun really got nailed by Hurricane Wilma. So be careful what trip you spend your money on. They won't pass up the good ol' American dollar, and Cancun is still somewhat rebuilding. So very true in Riviera Maya where we went this past August rather than back to Cancun for another try.

If you stay at a Palace resort, the pyramid tours are included in the all-inclusive fee. My suggestion to you would be to stay at a Palace Resort - your food & drinks are all part of the all-inclusive fee too, so you never have to worry about going over budget - you know what you have paid before you get there.
There are a lot of reasonable people on ebya - search under Moon Palace or Beach Palace or Sun Palace. You will see the cost to win the auction and then further in the auction it will have the amount of the all-inclusive fee. Make sure you purchase from a reputable eBay seller - check the feedback. The fee even covers your transport to & from the hotel.
The Moon Palace is a mansion - Marble floors, 10 restaurants, a couple of bars, a disco with Karaoke. Pool with swim up bars and the rooms all have a double jacuzzi. The place is all luxury and a whole lot of fun.
Good luck!

Cancun is an open entrance to your dream vacation just such as this place hotelbye for getting there. Cancun provides state-of-the-art lodge features on the list of best clubs, bars, and centers only some feet away from the many lovely beaches on earth. One of many places you will need to see could be the Isla Mujeres. Here, the great breezes blow over the area throughout the day and morning and here you will relish: the snorkelling, the scuba diving, the swimming with dolphins, the rural beaches for moonlight walks and individual discussions, and results of waterfront restaurants surrounded by great shopping and wonderful normal scenery. If you're buying a Cancun destination spot to relax, Isla Mujeres is the area to come.

No more then a domestic vacation. Yes, there are cover charges for the clubs but you usually can find deals on bar hopper wrist bands. The tours vary in price, but you can prepay them through your travel agent if you want. I have gone with a family of 4 and spend about a grand actually down there on souvenirs, dinners, and activities not prepaid.

Mmymartha,
Cabs are pretty cheap, food isn't to bad, drinks are reasonable. Hotel's are high and some resturants are very high. You will find it's not to much different than anywhere else you may go. I would compare it to Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Miami. If you are looking for something really special, go to the Bull Fights, you may never get another chance and you won't see them anywhere in America.

Cancun is very, very, very expensive. More than that, it is extremely expensive. Mortgage your home before you go.
