Don't break a lease what ever you do. The apartment will charge you a big fee. Most apartments will allow you to do a month to month, you can lease one month at a time. I know this because I was in your shoes a few months ago. Be sure and look around at the best options!! Good Luck!

Most places the minimum lease term is 6 months. What you might think of doing is going on a month to month rental. This way you can give 30 days notice and move on if you need to .

If you cannot get a month to month lease, see if terms in the lease allow you to sublet it. Then find someone who will take over your lease and be responsible about paying the rent.

I have 3 month leases but am told no one does that but me.... I guess I am alittle more accommodating to my tenants than other landlords are... but then again I come with Christmas cookies and Easter baskets for all my tenants !!

I am the landlord from heaven !!! : )

Good Luck!

See if you can get a month-to-month rental agreement. In effect you are giving the landlord three month's notice so I don't see a major problem with that but it depends on the landlord.
