Kenny may not be the most talented driver in Nextel Cup. He is , however, one of the most marketable personalities. That is really what racing at that level is all about....... Marketing. Kenny can still wheel a race car better than most and as long as he remains competitive and the fans like him (I think nearly everyone likes Kenny to one degree or another) why retire? He is one of those that, even when his car is not as good as everybody Else's, he manages to stay out of the way and be courteous and respectful of those that are faster. He can race with the best of them when his car is working well. Nuff said............

As long as Kenny is qualifying for races and running at least half way decent, he has a place in Cup. Personally, I would take Schrader over some of the other drivers that are battling it out down in the standings. When Kenny starts struggling to qualify and finishes 30th on back consistently, then I would say it is time to retire.

Why should Kenny retire? He is just a good driver as anyother out on the track.Yes he is one of the "senior" drivers. He is one of the only drivers that can build a car as well as drive them.
This is what the Jeff Gordons,Matt Kenseth,Jimmy Johnson,Jr ECT,ECT will be in a few years.
Retire soon but not yet.

I like him, which is why I wish he would retire.I would like to see a mandatory age for retirement in NASCAR. I would suggest the age of 45, but feel free to differ.
When Dale Earnhardt was killed,it nearly broke me from watching racing. He had earned over 75 million dollars from racing, and didn't have a thing to prove.Ken Schrader was first on the scene, and immediately waved the medical crew over to help.
Now, will you answer my question too, please?

No, I like Kenny. He's funny and just a happy guy having fun out on the track. He's not very competitive anymore, but he's there for the fun (and potential wins). I like him.

no not yet, hes not as talented as some want to think but i think as long as micheal waltrip is still on the track then you cant ask anyone else to quit. besides he is the only one that will tell micheal waltrip to shut up. so i think he should stay. he is running better now than he has in the past anyway.

As long as he qualifies and does OK, he should race as long as he can. Not all drivers will compete for wins.
