If you feel you are not getting a satisfactory answer from your current gyn, seek a second opinion from another.

Are you anemic? Do you have polycystic ovarian syndrome? Has your doctor tested you for these? Sounds to me as though you may be anemic and possible have POS, those two things can cause the symptoms you are describing. Sounds as if you may want to find another doctor or atleast get a second opinion for peace of mind. You have a family history of cancer and that should not be taken lightly. You deserve that and you deserve to know what the cause of your symptoms are.
Good Luck and don't take that your stressed as an answer!

I agree with the other answers saying seek a second opinion. Also if your on birthcontrol it can make you bleed. I couldnt take birth control pills because of that. Also diet is very important. I had to stay away from milk products during certain times becuase it made me cramp worse. I admire you that your taking the time to take care of yourself. I don't know your age or if u have or plan to have children but a hysterectomy could help in the future. Best of luck to you and god bless

See another doctor. Have a pap done. Also have them check you for endometriosis and ovarian cysts. Both of these can cause irregular priods. I have moderate endometriosis and I have always had irregular periods, heavy cramping and sometimes chunks. There are things they can do to help you cop with these symptons, sometimes they can make them go away. Make sure every doctor you see has your family medical history and actually acknowldges it!!!!!!!!!

If your doctor won't test you further, you need to see another doctor, ASAP! Ovarian cancer is nothing to take lightly as you probably know, and it often spreads quickly. I don't want to worry you, but you do need to act quickly to find out just what is wrong. It may be endometriosis.

Call your health care and ask to see a different gynecologist. A second opinion wouldn't hurt. Just explain your concerns and see if he/she will conduct a few more tests so you don't worry as much.
