I made my own wedding dress and I can tell you what I did.
I went to a fabrics store and looked through hundreds of pattern styles. I too already knew what I wanted, but I had to have a pattern to start with. I looked at everything, because it's not too hard to modify a certain feature you want or don't want. When I found a pattern in my size that I liked, I picked out the material, lace, lining and rosettes.
The ladies at the fabric store are usually very helpful. They'll be happy to measure you so that you know what size pattern to buy. Make sure you get the right size pattern!! Patterns come in a block of sizes - like size 6 to 8. Also ask the employees if the fabric you want is going to be appropriate for the pattern that you have picked and if you need a lining.
I hope that I have helped you some. I only made the one dress but it came out beautifully. It's a lot of fun to do. Good Luck!

well first take your design to a Micheals or somewhere with a sewing section where there are pattern books, they will help you to take your measurments, and then you have to ask where you get a pattern to help you make your dress!

on the pattern it has the ways to adjust the sizes if you have a different body type, and now you just have to pick the fabric and another question, why dont you just buy one?
