Do you think that people that anonymously leak classified information to newspapers should be prosecuted? For example the leaking of the NIE, which while being written isn't leaked until the run up to an election. The tidbits leaked were obviously handpicked to go in the Democrats favor? Isn't anyone appalled by this crime?

Bush now has every right to declassify the remaining, relevant portions of the report, so as to give a more balanced view of the situation.

The fact that he (and Sen Cornyn) are so willing & quick to do so (downright eager, in fact...) clearly shows that what was leaked was cherry-picked to do as much political damage as possible.

I have a feeling this will backfire on the Dems...

PS: Hehehehe... just had thought: any bets that if it backfires on the Dems really bad, they will claim that it was all aother Evil Plot by Karl Rove???

If they would prosecute everybody that has leaked classified information, Bush would have no staff left. Don't think for a second that all "leaked" information is not given approval from the top.
