It does not affect me. I do find, however, that I am more glad when girl/girl or boy/boy couples feel comfortable enough to show their affection for each other in public than when I see girl/boy couples doing it. .

I probably won't get the 'best answer' for this but I feel good about PDA of gays and lesbians. If they feel comfortable enough with each other I think it is great to see a couple holding hands or hugging. Just the same for straight couples.Of Course as long it is in 'good taste' and they aren't in my way I'm ok.

I feel its ok for anyone gay or straight to be able to display affection to the one you love. There are boundries tho. And the first thing that everyone should bear in mind is that you should never do anything that would make anyone uncomfortable. A peck on the cheek or a short kiss, holding hands, that is acceptable for gay or straight. Any more than that gets to the point where its almost immature. If you feel you have to do more than that........go home, or get a room. Hanging all over one another and sticking your tounge down anothers throat is pretty much rude behavior. Most people are respectful anyway........so not a big issue. I agree with the older people holding hands and kissing comment up there...........that is always awesome to see!

Honestly, I am not a homophobic person, but I am a little uncomfortable with it, mostly because it's not something I normally see, but I am sure if I lived in a more liberal area where being openly gay or lesbian was accepted and I saw it on a regular basis I would gradually become more comfortable with it. I have a problem with obnoxious PDA (passionately kissing/makingout/groping) with heterosexual couples and that goes the same for homosexuals. So long as it's in good taste I guess.

I think both gays and straights should keep it to a minimum in public. Kissing and hugging and holding hands is okay, but slobbering each other down and anything further than that, get a room. A lot of people are quick to say gays shouldn't show PDA in public, but if you're somewhere in public and you just want to show your loved one that you love them by giving them a kiss or holding their hand, there's no reason you should have to wait to you get home. If all gays shoulf have to wait until they get home, then all straights should do the same.

No differently than I do about PDA with straight people, I think it's in poor taste. Not talking about a quick kiss or peck on the cheek, but the full out swallowing each other's faces that are just a sign of someone pretty low class.

Im all in favour of PDA as long because it doesnt bypass overboard. Im not a great fan of unquestionably everybody doing heavy accountability making out in public yet protecting palms, palms around one yet another, kissing (not the form the place tongues are only unquestionably shoved down one yet another's throat), hugging, etc. are all perfect PDA's expressed with the help of heterosexuals and should not be frowned upon whilst expressed with the help of homosexuals. .

I am equally turned off by public displays of affection from homosexuals and heterosexuals. I just hate seeing people hanging all over each other in public. Now, simply holding hands or something is one thing, but the really "sexy" displays I find immodest. It does not matter the sexuality. Just in general.

I thought before this weekend that it was a bad idea in general. I am gay but I thought that there was no reason to make a show in public and announce things. I figure that it would only make people resent you and offend people. But this weekend I was flying home from South America, from visiting my husband in Bogota, Colombia, and I saw 2 guys in the Miami airport. They walked up to the security gate holding hands, and gave each other a big hug and kiss before one of them went through security. And I realized that people should not hide what they are, and if 2 people of the same gender are a couple, then they should be allowed to do what they want. When I left my partner in Bogota and got in the cab to go to the airport, I barely felt comfortable giving him a hug. Life is too short to deny yourself the opportunities that you are presented.

why not?

Think of it like this:

If a lesbian is a person who likes girls, then all straight men are lesbians. Same logic would be true for straight women being gay. Therefore, a kiss would be just a kiss and everybody looks at people kissing.

So, if everybody in the world is gay or lesbian, then what is the problem, unless you are one of "those" who like to fiddle around with your donkey or sheep. But we wont go there.

I vote for "NO PROBLEM" Now, go wash your hands and meet me by the fountain in the park.

no problem and big problem...I do not like to see either Straights OR Gays all over eachother in public. When I see a guy and gal, his or her hand on the others butt, deep kissing, I cannot help but wonder what is wrong with them that they need to affirm themselves in public? No one owns another, and that is what it looks like. Holding hands may be for some, but it is not for me...I didn't do it when I was Straight, and I don't do it now. I don't need the world to see that I can actually "get " another person to like me....I know I can and that is all the reassurance I need. good luck
