I found out 2 months later it was my sister. YEP you guessed it we dont get along now. but I did get the rings back. Her son stole them while she was doing dishes and returned them to my dad, pretty sad your own son new it was wrong and his mother didnt.....

i was in an alternative high school, and I was making pottery and ceramic stuff. There was this victorian-style handled vase, and I had carved the rough edges, did what the teached called me to do,and it has a rose on the side of it. i painted the rose mauve, and the vase,a soft peach color. It survived moving to SLC,from Seattle, and it sat on the windowsill of my new appt. My neighbor's kid,who was 3 1/2, broke it,and i cried for days. i knew then,I didn't like kids, and i hated hers! I told her so,and when i had kids of my own,I didn't have ANYTHING breakable, and if I did, it got put up when my kids were toddlers and could break my stuff. it sounds dumb, now, because the kid is now 23, but i know she has had stuff broke too,and I am glad. The school no longer exists, now,and the vase made me feel close to home, when I looked at it,and that is why I got so mad. The mom apologized alot, but the damage was done. I hated the kid till i moved out of the bldg, and i told my hubby, loudly,so my neighbor would hear me, " that is the reason i don't want kids...they break stuff!" I said it to be malicious, and i was pregnant at the time. I said so, cuz i was hurt, and i wanted to go home, back to Seattle. I wanted kids, but i didn't want mine to be like hers. She cried over my comment, and then the girl never came out of her appt. unless they were leaving. I kept the pieces, but hubby threw them away, because i got sad every time i saw them. This happened 20 years ago,and i didnt think of the vase till i saw the question. But that is the only thing I have had, that was sentimental that got broke.

Sure, I think most people have had something important, destroyed by someone elses carelessness or destructiveness. There are bead kits you can buy at craft stores, and maybe you could just re-string the beads you have?

Yes, I had an old wooden cigar box from my Grandpa.
It was really cool, rectangular not square shaped and I loved it.
My husband invited over a couple and their kids and the kids were messing around with it and dropped it and cracked it.
I was so mad. The kids were wild the whole time they were at my house and I will never be able to replace that cigar box.

aww i am so sorry... you should say something to girl but you slapped her back so that kinda makes you the same person but you should have not slapped her and told her to give her that much of money or replace it for the idential one..anways.. i hope you are getting okay with the fact.. but i have one advice you should try to out ti back together with your heart and mind what i mean by that is that it's not the end of the wrold and as long as you have it forever in your heart and mind it will always bring you memories back and you could tell your children and great children when you get much older...

When my daughter was three, she broke the head off my Little Mermaid music box.
I reattached it, and it has not seen the light of day since.
I learned a harsh lesson that day.

The honest answer is my heart. Putting myself in a situation in which I knew i would be hurt in the end, but did it anyway.
