Canons website has the drivers available to download. Follow this link -
http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=DownloadSearchResultsAct&keyword=IP1600&Submit.x=25&Submit.y=9
Click on Drivers / Software, Select your operating system, wait for the page to update then scroll to the bottom and click on "I Agree - Begin Download". The page will change again, just follow the instructions.

so im assuming you dont have the cd cause you lost it?you can still install it but you wont have the programs which might be needed.its plug and play so it will be detected.cant gurantee it will work without drivers being installed.
