At retail price, no it will never get lower. Apple only lowered it to clear their inventory, and LOTS of people want iPods, so they calculated the price at which they could go down to in order to sell the last batch of them before releasing the 6G iPod, w/ the speculated touchscreen clickwheel. =]]]]]]]

Maybe in a few years or so because right now ipods are a rave. If you can't wait get a used or refurbised. They are cheaper. Dont worry about it being refurbised because its really just the same as the new ones but it has parts from diffrent stuff thing(dont kbnow how 2 explain sorry!) I brought a refurbised and it came sparkling and works excellent! hope this helps!

The latest Ipod will always be fairly expensive but outdated models can be much more inexpensive. Try looking for closeouts and actions on ebay.

You can also look at the refurbished models in the store at apple.com

Some have discounts of 50.00 or more...and since Apple refurbished the units, you can purchase Apple care as well (warranty against damage).

yes, when no one wants them any more, or something even better and smaller comes out.

Look at portable CD players, they are dirt cheap.
