The Lioness Quartet- by Tamora Pierce
The Protector of the Small Quartet- by Tamora Pierce
All American Girl- by Meg Cabot
Avalon High-by Meg Cabot
How to be popular- by Meg Cabot
Ready or Not- by Meg Cabot, sequel to All American Girl
1-800-where-r-u series- by Meg Cabot, theres 4 books
The Mediator Series- by Meg Cabot
And last but not least any of the Royal Diares books, they are all about different princesses like Queen Elizabeth 1
and Cleopatra, Anastaisia when they were growing up and there are many more those are just some i would recommend and Kazunomia. They are all by different authors so i can't tell you who wrote them. All of Meg Cabots books are good she is a great author and also try out Tamora Pierce, she has a bunch of Quartets out there those are just my favorites, and Also try out Patrcia Reily Gifff , all of her stories are short but are worth reading.

Anne of Green Gables and all the sequels, by L. M. Montgomery. Little Women and all the sequels, by Louisa May Alcott. The Little Princess, the Lost Prince, Little Lord Fauntleroy, the Secret Garden, by Francis Hodgson Burnett. Tom Sawyer, Huckleberry Finn, A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court by Mark Twain.

But Narnia, Potter and Rings, too, so there!

Try anything by an author named Wilbur Smith. You are in for a real treat if you like good stories that you can't put down. There's one called "Rage" which I started, got to this one part in it and threw the book. I didn't pick it up again for over a year because it bothered me so much. But, I did finish it because I had to, you know? I have met another guy who had the same reaction to it. I'm telling you, this writer is one of the really good ones, not run-of -the-mill.

I agree that anything by Tamora Peirce is good. Also try Robin McKinley, she writes fantasies. The Everest trilogy by Gorden Korman, they're short but really good. Just Ella by Margret Peterson Haddix. Anything by Sarah Dessen is pretty good. Also anything by Gereld Morris. Crown Duel by Sherwood Smith is my favorite book, it's most definatly a fantasy. Airborn by Kennith Oppel and it's sequal Skybreaker and two of my other favorites.

Hands down You need to read Robinson Crusoe, The Last of the Mohicans, Silas Marner, Red badge of Courage, Picture of Dorian Grey, and of course Dracula and Mary Shelly's " Frankenstein".

Have you tried any Tamora Pierce books? How about Gary Paulsen, Jean Ferris, or Lois Duncan. These are excellent authors of Young Adult books.

Anything by J.D. Salinger is good. My favorite book is Ayn Rand's "The Fountainhead". I wouldn't really recommend it for a 14 year old, but books should never be limited to anyone. =)
