where do i get the parts?
can a repair novice make this repair or do i need a mechanic?

It may not be the fan. Check to see if you are getting power to the fan 1st. Use a test light and check for power. If not, look at the relays for the fan switch or a temp sensor. Pick upa manual for your car at a local auto zone for reference.

check the fuses first. and the black relay switches under the hood. They are around 20 bucks . but that's a common problem and most of the time its the relays. Look in the Manuel. or ask them at auto zone they will show ya
