I was called back for a THIRD interview. The 1st was a phone interview, then yesterday was a 1/2 hour long face to face. They called me today and asked me back for a 3rd and final time...they have gotten the list of candidates down to 3 (from 81 applicants). What should (if anything) should I bring? I know they called my references today. Should I bring a letter of reference or is that too much? What will be different about this interview than the 1st?

Any answers of personal experience will help. I have butterflies!!!

As for the 1st guy that answered...I am sorry that you think that 3 interviews is ridiculous...and you said the the salary will in no way compensate for the hassle of 3 interviews?

The salary looks pretty sweet to me!

Thanks for your opinion.

If you've been called back for a 3rd interview, it will be like the 2nd interview, but they will be asking you more specific questions to distinguish why you are a better person for the job than the other 2. Often companies use 3rd interviews when they are really struggling to decide between a small number of shortlisted candidates, and to be honest, at this point it will be about your personal attributes more than your qualifications as this interview will be used to see how your approach/ work ethic fits in with the reality of working for this company.
A letter of recommendation can't hurt - if they say they don't need it, or that they prefer to obtain references themselves then you've lost nothing, but at least you will have shown a) that you're very interested in the job and b) that at least one of your references is prepared to go on paper and vouch for you.

Good luck!!!

3rd Interview

This 3rd and final interview is the time to tell them what experience and expertise you bring to them....DON'T ASK what they can do for you....TELL THEM what you will do for them. It is already a very good sign that you got this far, Just play it cool and let them know that if they want a person that will give 110% for every hour you work they'd be foolish NOT to hire you(Just don't be cocky). GOOD LUCK

Also, If you have a job then you are in a better position, because they need to fill a position and you HAVE a position elsewhere

I am sorry, but three interviews are ridiculous in this day and age. They are not doing you a favor, they are wasting your time.

Employment is a business transaction. They need you as much as you need them, they should have done a better job with the phone screening. The worst thing is that the salary that you will be offered will in no way correlate with all this trouble.

I would take any offer from these people with a grain of salt. The standard is 30-60 minutes of phone screening and one interview with one or more of the people that you will be expected to work with, plus maybe a half hour with the first line supervisor.

It means, they will offer you an employment and they will explain to you the company policy and procedures, including the terms and conditions of your tenure. Congratulations.
