Iraq is a country that has oil. We needed the oil and the vice president has oil investments, so our government fabricated a story about weapons of mass destruction and invaded the country. After a year or so into the fight we changed the emphasis to be about Iraqi freedom so that we good Americans would not rebel when they found out that Iraq had no weapons of mass destruction.

Well Cayle, we the American people were told that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction.

We were also told that Iraq was also involved in the attack on the twin towers.

So Cayle we sent thousands of military troops into Iraq to find those weapons, and destroy them.

When no weapons were found, we felt we had been lied to by our President, and his people.

Now even though we sometimes question why our young men and women are over there fighting this war, we know the answer. It's to keep you, myself, and our families safe.

Now pass this by your Mom or Dad, or even your grandparents, just to see what there take is on this subject.

Good luck on your homework! and stay involved in whats happening in your world. Watch CNN or the World News once in awhile.

Peace out Cayle.......... I'm a grandmother

Part of a neo-conservative plan to dominate key areas of the world. Iraq was chosen due to it's large oil reserves. The pretext put out by the administration was that the invasion was for national security due to the presence of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, and their intent to use them. The administration also said there was a link between al-Qaida terrorists and Iraq. Later intelligence indicated there were no weapons of mass destruction. Intelligence also revealed there was no link between 9-11 Al Qaida terrorists and Iraq.

Couldn't have said it better.

Oil is the #1 traded commodity. War is good for the economy, especially if you have shares in the companies that supply the military.

It's ALWAYS about $$.
