Dontcha hate it when you get into these situations?

I have learnt the best thing to do is just tell them you really don't feel like going. As soon as you start making up other excuses for not going they will ask questions and then you will get yourself deeper and deeper into the poo.

A real excuse or a made up one?

1. Ah, my college roomate is here visiting and we are meeting for coffe.
2. I'm sorry but I have to wash my dog that night.
3. I would love to go with you but unfortunately my mom calls me every week at that time and she will be disappointed if I'm not there.
4. I won't be able to make it due to a prior commitment. (if they ask what that is refer to the above mentioned excuses)
