Your question is too basic and leaves too much room for loopholes. Wild in what way, savage in what way? There was savagery on both sides. In the case of white Americans, it was often cruel and in retaliation. Certain Native American tribes were particularly cruel in their treatment of settlers.

All depends on one's perspective.

Did we take their land and put them on reservations. Yes, we did. But do we continue to pay the price for our ancestors malignant choices? How far does the responsibility go, to what generation?

If your great-grandfather ran over a neighbor's child, or killed a man in a fight - whatever the circumstance - should the family of the child or man still be able to come to you for restitution or revenge?

It's a difficult question at best.

the native Americans for one. But savageness is not only in the white race, it is all over. Brother killing brother, men / women killing children, people killing for a quarter. It's senseless. It's like a disease that has spread across the land, and it isn't dieing down, it's getting worse.

I agree with this, anyone who knows the true history would have to agree. It is the truth. There are so many examples of this. Not only the American Indians, we have done this repeatedly over and over to every culture of people. It is shameful, anyone who knows the history should know better and because of our history in the United States we should not have any form of racism in my opinion. If everyone knew the truth they would have a very different attitude toward their fellow human being. We should be ashamed of our history instead of trying to continue on with this hatred.

We don't know exactly what happen because we weren't there when whites came over. It's easy to say it was really the whites. But I wouldn't be suprised if they both acted like savages in one way or another during that time of war. But whites were probably more so since they came over from some other place, arrogantly claimed this pand was their's, AND then took it over any means necessary besides.

But what do I know, I'm an idiot.

I think the savagery began with the "civilized" white Americans. The Native Americans were only trying to protect their homes and livelihoods, their sacred hunting grounds, the animals and nature.

i dont think any of them were savage but i think the colonists were really disrespectful towards the indians, and of course the colonists thought they were the light of God. however though, im sure there were some indians who were just as hostile as some of the colonists were.

Me

The more I learn , the more I see its true. The early colonists wanted money and profit, nothing else.

Thats why they died off or were adopted by Indians.
