I'd rather know truth and be miserable in attempts at higher evolution, then to stay a happy, ignorant ape believing in fantasy. Let wisdom guide you and "the truth shall set you free" as is ironically stated in the Bible.
However, it is the mere fact of "having" to "be" right in the face of enlightenment that may cause misery. If you "have" to be right, then you are ignoring the truth in an egotistical attempt at being a know-it-all.
I'd rather slay dragons with truth, then lie to myself, as painful as that may be to some.

They finally have been given their dream, yet i'm going to be their fan even while the hype starts to simmer down. I would rather be right. i know if i was wrong, i could be happy but then i know id look stupid..so id rather know whats right and be unhappy than be happy for a stupid reason...if that akes sence

Happy, but it feels good when being right, unless it is right about something that makes someone else unhappy. Nobody likes to hear "I told you so....."
