Hell yes.
In my high school, it is certainly common for students to form those type of bonds with their teachers. Then again, my high school is very family and community oriented. Nevertheless, it is very much possible, for I have never a "bad" teacher in my entire life.

Of course students can be sorts of friends. However, what counts as "inappropriate," is a lot broader category than what is not. For example, it is possible for teachers to share some of their feelings and aspirations with students, but certainly not all of them.
For example, I may talk with my students about books, movies, music I like--something I would do with friends. I may not, however, discuss personal matters regarding other students or teachers or, say, marital problems. A good teacher instinctively knows where the line lies (if not right away, then they feel it out as they grow).
I have found also that graduated students can be slightly closer, but that's after it's okay for them to call you by your first name.

A teacher can guide in an ethical and moral manner, but calling a student a "friend" is not acceptable. There has to be a professional line, even if they were friends prior to entering the student-teacher relationship. A teacher is a role model no matter what!

I have been a instructor in a type... all around my age (2-3 years youthful) and hell yeah there have been a some quite severe high quality ladies. yet as a instructor you may see them as your scholars.. no longer something extra and not something much less (i dont like this "make buddy with pupil element") And consisting of your occasion it relies upon on how previous are they? (my scholars have been around 22) although that is not suitable especially no longer interior the college... i m undecided yet think of approximately it that in case you bypass to the headmaster or somebody else he in all probability can clean his table day after today. (in my view i might discuss with him first) yet i dont be attentive to the way he's... how others experience approximately him. etc... If the age hollow is likewise vast then i in all probability might document it...

Mary Kay Letourno's story is a good case study for reference..
A teacher-student relationship must always be professional to avoid even a hint of impropriety
That doesn't mean that teaching can not be fun, because it is

Yes. I meet my students on our way to school or from school. We talk about people, books, plans for future, books, music, games... Sometimes connected with school, but not always.
However, I'm only about 5 years older than them....
