Dodges are the strongest. Unfortunately, they're also the most truck like which is not what most people want. Fords are a close second.
The reason you see so many old Chevys still on the road is because people who really needed a truck to work with bought Dodges. A Chevy is not much more than a big car with and open trunk.

Toyota takes the prize. This is per Consumer Reports. They say Dodge and Titan have worse than average. Chevy and GMC come in at average and Toyota comes in above average. Plus, for 2007 Toyota is coming out with a bigger truck. 7" or so taller/4 or 5 " wider/bigger engine/8' bed. Consumer Reports reliability scores are based on actual repairs/reliability from the Consumer Reports members during their annual survey (last year-750,000). GM and Ford (oops forgot-they are average also) have managed to improve to average, Titan has not been very reliability-really good truck-just a lot of problems. You can see this in the April issue of CR. I noticed, at Costco, that CR has a special auto issue (at $9.96) that covers what the April issue covers andI guess, even more. hope this helps

They all are pretty tough. I think I see more old Chevys and Fords than anu other brand. I like Chevy, but I have to give the edge to Ford.
