it hasn't been 28 days since my last period, but im having this dark-colored discharge. i dont think its quite time for my period yet....so what is this stuff?

sounds to me like the start of a period or end , mine used to be regular to the hour but now i get 2 a month alot of the time or i will only go 19 days before each one but never a 28day cycle i think its time for menopause test for me ,but some women do get spotting from time to time if it keeps up see a doctor

28 days is not set in stone. Has your period always been every 28 days? Do you have protected sex everytime? When was the last time you had a well woman check? You should go to the doctor, or do some research on line about symptoms of STD's

No period is ever the same as the last one. Unless your on the pill or some other kind of birth control, it is normal for a period to come a little early or a little late. If you are on the pill, your period should start the same time every month.

Do you take birth control pills? They sometimes cause break through bleeding. How many days has it been if not 28? Are your periods regulated yet? My sister is 25 and she still has problems with hers.

Old blood that your body is expelling,still part of your period. Tell your doctor if this 'spotting' keeps happening.

Maybe it just came early or it is gearing up for your period.
