hey guys, so i want my nose pierced really bad, and so i was wondering if any of you could tell me some of your expierences with getting it done, some advice on how to take care of it...ect. thanks :)

What is everyone's problem with this? Geez, go somewhere else and complain- it's her body, not yours!!!
As for me, I'm a high school English teacher and my left nostril is pierced. I wear a teeny tiny clear stone on it- my students call it my "sparkle" and people don't usually notice it unless I point it out- yes, they're that small. Also, you can buy clear "retainers" so that if you have a job that doesn't allow the nose piercing, you can hide it very simply.
Getting it pierced is very simple, actually, and does not hurt that much. They'll use a straight, hollow needle with the screw stuck in the end so that it can follow the needle through your nose. You don't feel any sharp pain- what happens is that your nose kind of generally hurts and your eyes water a bit. It's not bad AT ALL!
For aftercare, using alcohol or sprays are NOT advisable. They don't effectively clean the area. What you would do is go to the store and purchase some kind of antibacterial liquid soap. Twice a day, or depending on where you are in the healing process, you clean it out. I found it easy to wash my face and then when it was still wet, lather up my fingers with the dial and completely clean the nose ring. It's very simple and doesn't hurt. It's not like your ears which you sleep on, talk on the phone against, etc. It does not hurt after it is pierced.
As long as you take care of it, you'll be totally fine. Of course, be sure and choose a reputable piercer. Make sure they open all packages in front of you to ensure sterility. You get to have an antiseptic swab shoved up your nose beforehand... sexy, huh?

WELLL Mine hurt alot when I first got it done... You have to get certian sized rings or studs.. If not the post is jammed into the inside of your nose. when your sweetheart kisses you .. the pain is bad and your nose bleeds. I loved having my nose pierced.. I did it when it wasnt fashionable . Now you can get your nose pierced in more than the standard place .. But make sure you clean it so it heals and your not picking at it .... Go to a reputable person to do it..Getting the jewerly stuck and pulling it out of your nose .. and having the wrong jewerly hurt the inside of your nose .. and having an infection are really your biggest issues.

I've had my nose pierced 3 times. The first time it fell out while i was sleeping and closed, the second time i ripped it out with my knit sweater (remember when you FIRST get your nose pierced they give you this UGLY stud!) and the third time it's stuck.
I love my nose piercing, it doesnt get infected and its really easy to manage. When i first got my nose done, the first week i had to clean it with a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol. Now i blow my nose regularly, heck...i forget it's there!

Don't do it. There's nothing cool about it. Your nose can get infected, which wont be any fun. Not to mention you'll find a hard time getting and keeping a job if you have one. Leave the earings to the ears, that's what their meant for. Any where else is just plain dumb and not cool.

i got mine done with my sister, i made her go first lol. she didnt even say anything tears came down her eyes tho because its like when you yawn and tears automatically come down.. then when i got mine done it was like a little pinch. it didnt hurt at all.. & it depends how your skin reacts but i changed my nose stud after a week and hardly cleaned it i never got an infection....

Why? Is looking like a farmyard animal cool? Not the mention the risk of infection. Don't do it, you will regret it.

well i just got mah nose pierced bout 3 hours ago....and for me it hurts when the needle goes in but after that you will be okay...i think you should do, its painful, but cute afterwards :)

my daughter has the side done, that seemed to be an easy one for her out of her many peircings-she says use H2O ocean-some kind of good spray so it doesn't get infected.
