"Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder" can also be varied to "Perfection is only found in the eyes of the beholder" Both are describing the different perspectives that people have on each other. Example: Have you ever had any friends who disagree on whether a girl is hot or not? That's an example..and like some people who like certain people and you don't understand why..we all like something on a guy (i.e. tanned skin or blonde hair) that's beauty to us while someone else will hate tanned skin or blonde hair. Different people think different things are beautiful... The holder meaning the person thinking something or someone is beautiful.

What I find beautiful may not be the same to you. If I like tall guys with big brown eyes, you may prefer short blondes with blue eyes. See?

Everyone has a different opinion of what's beautiful. One thing might be beautiful to one person, but ugly to the next.

It means that what you see and find to be beautiful is not the same as what someone else sees as beautiful. it is simply a matter of personal preference and opinion.

if you are looking at someone/thing that you consider beautiful and someone else disagrees then you are seeing the beauty. it depends on who is looking.
