If.. I'm 16 years old, and within the past 3 weeks I've moved into another school within the city. I have been sexually harassed in many ways; from remarks about my sexuality, to actually being groped and begged of sexual favors.
I quickly called my mother and spoke to a guidance counseler, and an administrator. My counseler merely reacted appauled by what I've told them. However, the administrator belittled everything I had let out.
I'm terribly mortified by this situation. I'm expected to write what you could call a sexual harassment claim, with names - pulling me and every kid who's bothered me, out of class to be confronted. Ive expressed my fear and concern to my parents, and they feel that since this has been an ongoing situation for the past 2 years, that they would prefer having me withdrawn for homeschooling/tutoring.
Which is the better of two evils; writing this sexual harassment statement and shaming myself,& more harassment, or waiting for something that wont come

Uh. Yeah. I might be having a hard time at this school, but I'm not a tardass - let's try and keep the answers serious -- whether I have friends or not won't stop a guy from running his hand up my thigh, begging for a ********, or boys literally asking to get into my pants. k?

I don't know what to tell you. Give them a taste of their medicine. Do it back. Not trying to be funny here, but if you do it it might show them that you're not playing anymore. Get mean and fight back. Make people scared of you, maybe not the greatest advice, but you have to show them you won't be treated this way. There's only so much a person can put up with.

Keep a record of who said, or did, what, when and where. It might be worth getting a dictaphone so you can record the abuse as evidence. You should not be the person excluding yourself from the school because of this behaviour, it should be the other people. I would also suggest you go over the administrator's head and take your grievance to their boss, as obviously the administrators are not doing their job, and this should be made known. No one should be allowed to suffer such indignity, and the fact that the school is, apparently, doing little about it is a disgrace, and if you still get no joy, there should be a regulatory body that you can report the school to.

While homeschooling might be the easy way out, consider staying and filing a complaint. Maybe have your parents talk to a lawyer, after all, if the school isn't doing anything to stop it outright, then there is definitely legal action that can be taken. Homeschooling won't make the problem go away, but it will make it easier.
My advice? Have your parents show up and talk to the principal or whoever. Have them stand up and threaten lawsuits or something. Believe me, your school wouldn't like bad press.

You set the law on the harassers and the administrators. If you don't, everyone will just keep on doing as they've been, which is WRONG, WRONG, WRONG.
Yes, you can leave school, but that won't stop them from doing the same to others -- try to think of them (in fact, get other victims to join you, it will strengthen your case and give you company through the process).
All of these people need to be severely punished, and the administrators replaced with human beings.
It's one of the ironies of life that the victim is the one to feel the shame that belongs to the wrongdoers, but try to remind yourself that they are the criminals here, not you.
Group counseling with others who have been in your situation may help you deal with it.
Fight them. When you kick their *ss*s in court, you will feel vindicated and proud of what you've done.

first off...i think the administration of your school should not be putting you in such a position. They should be handling this in an appropriate, proactive and preventative way. They are responsible for teaching tolerance in their school. I don't think you should have to leave the school....but only you know when enough is enough. Perhaps rather than confronting a few students they should be educating respect and tolerance to the students. Teachers can promote this in class and create a conversation amongst students....and create support for you and others.

Keep a journal of every thing that happens , good or bad , be factual and keep your personal opinion out of this journal . It may help you later if its facts , if its too much opinion it wont come across as the truth. You dont have to use it but if you need to , it will help a lot with the cold administrator.

Wow, a really difficult situation you are in. But no matter what you think you can never shame yourself for standing up for yourself or your rights as an individual. All I can advise is to be strong and do what you think is right for you no matter what anyone else thinks.

PEOPLE FEAR WHAT THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND . IT IS IN NO WAY RIGHT WHAT THEY ARE DOING TO YOU JUST BECAUSE THEY FEAR YOU AND BULLY YOU CAUS THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND YOU. TRY PULLING THAT ON THEM. NEXT TIME THEY MESS WITH YOU ASK THEM WHY THEY ARE AFRAID YOU? JUST STATED THAT SIMPLY. SEE IF THEY DON'T TAKE A STEP BACK.
