what are some things i can do to relax my mind and make me have inspiration to write a story?

I write poetry myself and one thing that helps as well as inspires is to listen to music, get in a very chaotic-less atmosphere and let your mind roam around. The music should not be overly loud more soothing ...hope that helps!

You have to have something important enough for you to want to say, that you feel people will want to read. When you do, writing the story is easy. Think about what you learned thats very important to you in your life, something you'd enjoy writing about.

Sit in silence paying attention only to your breath, when you stop sitting and open your eyes pick up a pen and just write whatever comes to mind.

go somewhere quiet...where you can be alone and maybe have some soft music in the background.....and sit quietly until you relax and feel at peace.

its been my experience that trying to be inspired is as easy as trying to not think about apples... then it permeates through your head, don't think about apples... then that's all you can think about...

I think you need to step away and go immerse yourself in a public place and be distracted people watching... or try to do something you protagonist would do in real life...

i would go outside lay on a blanket and look up at the clouds ,,, remember when you were little and how your imagination would flow when looking up at the clouds and finding a dog , rabbit , cat ,, etc. try it ,
