Were you ever cleared?

Yes, I once worked for the federal government and a really horrible person accused me, behind my back, of stealing money that belonged to all the employees...several hundred dollars then maybe equivalent to $1000 now. I was new then and embarassed and didn't know how to handle it because no one actually came up and said I did do it like a supervisor. But people talked behind my back and would say things around me like "I hate a sneak thief." I was puzzled at first not knowing what they meant since I had nothing to do with it. Eventually I realized they talked about me and so many hated me. It went on for years and eventally I got forced out...it seemed to have a snow ball effect. Funny things about this were 1, this man prided himself on being a christian...but was the holier than thou type 2. someone told me later, off the record, he had done this before to someone else.
What I had surmised was that this man was such a horrible gossip monger and destroyer of people that others were in fear to dispute his remarks even though they all knew that secretly he stole the money and blamed me. But unfortuanetly other hate mongers stepped on the bandwagon and joined in to destroy me...I have heard this kind of thing happens often in federal civil service jobs and probably does elsewhere too.
That was 20 years ago now...endof the story is that if I stayed there, I would have 20 years of a boring federal civil service career. However now, I am a medical student and will become a brilliant doctor one day! So that is my happy ending as I have my best and highest career and am living happily ever after..while this "christian man' is probably still as miserable as ever with his gossip mongering, stealing ways.

Yes. I was cleared when the company who fired me,caught the real culprit soon after I left. Still waiting for an apology. Won't get one now cos the company folded......He-he-he

definite,i imagine.there changed into this previous lady on P&S some months in the past,Helga Bones.She turned right into a spammer, and anybody kept telling she turned right into a troll too,yet i imagine she truly in no way reported anybody... And as far as i comprehend,noone accused me of being a troll.i do not rfile anybody,so what style of troll am I??

It happened with me many times, when others felt I am innocent they felt sorry and I was cleared of charges.

sort of. I once walked into this free clinic for a 'female exam' They told me I had just been there wanting birth control pills. I said "NOT ME!" (I'd had a hysterectomy 4 yrs earlier)
I had to show my license before they would believe me!

No but I have been misunderstood by folks on the site. I say something in fun or flip and they get their panties in a knot.

nothing that serious just family matter, but no I don't think my sister ever believed me and it does hurt to know you are telling the truth, it all comes down to a case of misunderstanding but it is hurtful as heck!!!!!!!!!!!

yes, my 3 year told my wife that I ate the cookies where IN FACT, it was my 6 year old who did it...... and yes I was cleared........
